The Art Gallery District in Chelsea lit up recently when one of the largest, modern Made-in-America shopping events, Unique NYC, arrived in New York City. At the event #ToyotaGiving teamed up with World Up, an inspiring organization on a mission to empower youth through music and technology. Using the hash tag #ToyotaGiving, music fans across the country shared how music inspires them and helped World Up raise $5,000. A couple of standout tweets came from artists themselves. American singer Ameriie wrote, ‘Music is the soundtrack to our lives. A song can take you to a moment in time and make you feel everything you felt back then.’ And for American R&B and K-Pop artist, Brian Joo, music ‘…simply means “serenity”! It puts me in a place where no one can bring me down.’ In addition to sharing how music inspires them on the Twittersphere, event goers at Unique NYC documented their personal aspirations with Twit pics and Instagram.
